The long-awaited grand opening of the new Bellevue Regional Community Center takes place Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Attractions include street hockey, music, fitness demonstrations and pottery, painting and drawing demonstrations. Among the dignitaries on hand will be Nashville Mayor John Cooper, Councilwoman Gloria Hausser and Ford Ice Center GM Danny Butler. Admission is free.

The new Bellevue Regional Community Center includes a gym with multiple courts for basketball and volleyball, a fitness center and an indoor running/walking track.
