Giving season is here and PDK Southern Kitchen & Pantry is among the first to step up to the plate.

On Friday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 23, PDK invites guests to ‘Gather For Good’ at its location in One Bellevue Place from 2 to 9 p.m. In return, the popular purveyor of Southern-inspired cuisine will donate 15 percent of proceeds to the Bellevue Community Fund.

It will be a great opportunity for regulars and newcomers alike to enjoy PDK favorites that range from burgers and hot sandwiches to its signature chicken and waffles and its award-winning banana pudding.

Peter Demos

“Bellevue has been so warm and welcoming,” says restaurant owner, Peter Demos. “We love being there and we love the area.

“Why are we doing this? I think the greater question is, ‘Why not?’ We want to do anything we can do to support local organizations that provide very critical services to people in need.”

Demos is also the president and CEO of Demos Brands which includes the iconic Demos’ Restaurant. He says that ‘Gather For Good’ aligns well with his company’s mission.

“Part of our culture is that we serve ‘food with a purpose,’” says Demos. “Just as He does for everyone, God put us in this spot for a reason and we glorify God by serving others. For us, it’s our identity. There’s not a distinction, in my mind, between work and faith. They are the same. You can’t compartmentalize the two.”

PDK Southern Kitchen & Pantry is located off Highway 70 South in One Bellevue Place, across from AMC Bellevue 12 Theatres. Additional information is available online at PDKSouthernPantry.com.

The Bellevue Community Fund is the only community-specific fund operated by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. It has been making annual distributions to eligible Bellevue-based community service projects since 2014.
