Stock The Pantry: Bellevue Food Drive Underway Thru Saturday

The annual food drive for the Bellevue Community Food Bank (BCFB) is underway with drop-off points at seven locations throughout the area.
Now through December 4, items such as canned goods, dry goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries and diapers will be collected at Burn Boot Camp, Wellevue Nutrition, Crosspoint Church, River Art Studio, Honeyfire BBQ, Bandwagon Music & Repair and Ford Ice Center.
All donated items will be delivered to the BCFB at Bellevue United Methodist Church at 7501 Old Harding Pike on Saturday, December 5. Contactless drive-up donations will also be accepted at the church from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Cash donations may be made online at BellevueCommunityFoodBank.org.
As with so many organizations, the events of this year have stretched the resources of charitable organizations. The BCFB reports that the number of families it serves has doubled since this time last year.
Established in 1991 as an outreach ministry of the Bellevue United Methodist Church, the food bank typically serves in-need families from Bellevue and adjacent neighborhoods on a weekly basis. The food bank relies solely on donations and does not receive support from any outside agency.
Distributions are made every Tuesday throughout the year. If you know of an in-need individual or family, contact the BCFB at 615.212.9199 or reach out to Kelly Kormos at Kelly@KellyKormos.com.
